FAQs
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am a wedding photographer based in Leigh on Sea, Essex, photographing weddings across Essex, London and throughout the UK. I also happily travel for destination weddings. If you are getting married somewhere special, just let me know and we can chat through the details.
How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?
Most couples book their wedding photographer 9 to 18 months in advance, especially for popular summer dates. Once your venue is secured, I recommend getting in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Do you require a booking fee?
Yes. A 25 percent booking fee is required to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due four weeks before your wedding, so everything is taken care of well ahead of the day.
What is your photography style?
My style is natural, relaxed and documentary, focusing on real moments, genuine emotion and honest storytelling. I blend unobtrusive candid photography with lightly guided portraits so nothing ever feels forced or awkward.
Do you help with posing during couple portraits?
Absolutely. I will gently guide you where needed, but always in a relaxed and natural way. Most couples tell me they feel far more comfortable than they expected. No stiff posing, just simple direction and space to be yourselves.
How long do couple portraits take?
This depends entirely on you. Some couples love spending extra time together, while others prefer to keep portraits short and enjoy more time with guests. I will tailor the timing around your preferences and advise based on light, location and the flow of the day.
Do you photograph group shots?
Yes. Group photos are an important part of the day. I help keep them organised, efficient and stress free, so they do not take over your celebration.
Will you photograph our guests?
Definitely. Your guests are a huge part of your story. I focus on capturing natural interactions, laughter and the little moments you may not even notice on the day.
How many photographs will we receive?
You will receive 500 plus fully edited, high resolution images, depending on your wedding package. Every image is carefully selected and edited to tell the full story of your day. Quality always comes before quantity.
How long does it take to receive our wedding photos?
Your full wedding gallery will be delivered within 6 to 8 weeks. Each image is carefully edited to ensure a consistent and timeless finish.
What happens if our wedding runs late?
Weddings rarely run exactly to schedule, and that is completely normal. I work calmly and flexibly on the day and will always adapt to any changes so the most important moments are captured. If things run significantly over time and you would like me to stay longer, this can usually be arranged depending on availability, and any additional coverage would be discussed clearly with you.
Do you help with the running of the wedding day?
Yes. You will receive my Wedding Guide PDF, created from over 10 years of wedding photography experience. It includes helpful tips, suggested timings and guidance on how the day can flow naturally. I am always there to help things run smoothly, never to rush or take over.
Is a second photographer worth it?
Yes, especially for weddings with 80 plus guests. A second photographer allows for more moments, more angles and fuller coverage, including both partners morning preparations and extra guest reactions throughout the day.
Can we personalise our wedding photography package?
Absolutely. Every wedding is different and I am always happy to tailor coverage to suit your plans. Just get in touch and we can chat through what works best for you.
Do you offer engagement photoshoots?
Yes. Engagement shoots are included in selected packages and are a lovely way to feel comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding. They are also perfect for save the dates or wedding websites.
Do you offer wedding albums?
Yes. I offer luxury handcrafted wedding albums, designed to tell the story of your day from start to finish. Albums are A4 size with layflat pages, and extra pages can be added if you would like to include more moments.
Do you offer wedding videography?
I do not offer videography directly, but I work closely with trusted professional wedding videographers and am always happy to share recommendations. These are people I have worked alongside many times and trust completely.
What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
No stress. Some of the most beautiful images happen in unexpected weather. I am experienced in working in all conditions and will always adapt, rain or shine. If you are open to it, rain can create incredibly romantic and atmospheric photos. If not, I am equally confident working indoors with professional lighting.
Can we request specific photos or family groupings?
Yes, absolutely. Before your wedding, we will go through any must have photos or specific family groupings that are important to you. I recommend keeping this list short so you can stay present and enjoy your day, but I will always make sure the key people and moments you care about are captured.
What happens if you are unable to photograph our wedding?
In the extremely rare event I am unable to attend due to illness or emergency, I have a trusted network of experienced wedding photographers. One of them would step in to photograph your day, ensuring you are fully covered.
How are our wedding photographs backed up and protected?
Your images are protected at every stage. My cameras record to two memory cards simultaneously, creating instant backups. After your wedding, files are stored across multiple secure locations, including external hard drives and encrypted online storage.
Do you photograph LGBTQ+ weddings?
Yes, absolutely. I proudly photograph LGBTQ+ weddings and celebrations of all kinds. Love is love, and everyone deserves to feel completely comfortable, respected and celebrated on their wedding day.

Choosing your wedding photographer is a really important decision, and I want you to feel completely comfortable and confident every step of the way.
